Welcome back. Turning left in a big truck. And there's two left-hand turning lanes here as I've talked about in other videos. I'll put that video up for you. And we're in third gear. Turning left in a big vehicle - in action.
And we go straight out [DRIVING INTO THE INTERSECTION]. Get the gear you want. Stay right out to the right. Cross the lines here. That way the big truck will come right around here. We're up into sixth gear here. And we're at 50 kilometers an hour. We are up into seventh gear. So we shifted a few gears going through the intersection there.
And that wasn't exactly the way you do it for the purposes of a road test because there's no "steering and gearing" on a road test. In other words, you can't turn and gear at the same time. But left hand turning lanes - lots going on there. But if there's more than one turning lane, you always want to be in the outside turning lane in a larger vehicle. For the purposes of a road test on a left-hand turn, you want to be in the outside lane in a car too because then you're in the right hand lane when you go around the corner there.
