Introduction

Taking your driver's test during COVID 19, you're going to need a mask and gloves to be allowed to do your driver's test.In these days of post-COVID, be sure to wash your car and give it a vaccum before heading down for your driver's test.- COVID-19, oh, this goofy mask.

I have to take it off.

Alright, you're going to need a mask for your driver's test.

In this day and age of COVID-19.

Today, we're doing three point turn in the parking lot.

Keep Track of Steering Wheel

For those of you doing closed circuit testing and shortened tests, you could be asked to do this, so put a piece of tape at the top of your steering wheel.

Before practicing your k turn, put a piece of tape on the top of your steering wheel to keep track of your steering. Before practicing your 3 point turn, put a piece of tape on the top of your steering wheel to keep track of your steering.

That way you can know where your steering wheel is at a glance.

Steering wheel turns one and a half revolutions to the right, one and a half revolutions to the left for full turns.

Size of Space

You're going to need to know that to do three point turn in the parking lot.

It's three parking spaces.

To practice your 3 point turn in a parking lot, set your cones 3 parking spaces apart. To practice your 3 point turn in a parking lot, set your cones 3 parking spaces apart and one space deep.

So when you practice this, get some pylons, and set them up, and then do the procedure as I'm going to show you here.

So let's get going.

Roll Down Windows

Before we get started doing the test, roll down the windows, especially at the back.

You'll need to get used to the road noise, as well.

It will help you with your slow speed maneuvers 'cause you can hear what's going on, and make sure you bring a mask.

Make sure you bring gloves.

You may need those for your test center.

When starting your three point turn, pull into the space and signal to the right. When in the space stop and do your visual checks. When starting your 3 point turn, pull into the space and signal to the right. When in the space stop and do your visual checks.

Pull Over to the Right

You're going to pull into the space as if you would, along a curb of a road, signal to the right, and just as you can see the front of the curb just about to go into the front of the car, or the front of the vehicle, stop.

Okay, we're signaling to the right.

We've completely stopped.

Mirror signal, shoulder check, 360° degree scan, signaling to the left.

Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, nice and slow, really slow.

When you do your Y turn, just as the pylon disappears in the front of the vehicle, bring your car to a stop. When you do your 3 point turn, just as the pylon disappears in the front of the vehicle, bring your car to a stop.

Just as the cone disappears at the front, stop, and just turn your steering wheel back to straight.

So we're back to straight signal, right?

'Cause we're going to move in that direction.

Signal Every Time You Change Direction - Especially in Reverse

Vehicle into reverse, 360° degree scan, shoulder checks, check your backup camera, if you have one, all right, and looking out the back, and reversing nice and slow, nice and slow, and just about there.

Now, we look a little bit farther.

To practice for your driver's test in a parking lot you'll need some pylons. You can buy these, or rent them from a rental shop.To practice for your driver's test in a parking lot you'll need some pylons. You can buy these, or rent them from an industrial rental shop.

We can see the line back there, and we signal left into drive, or forward gear, and we start to go, and we turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, and we proceed, and that's how you do a three point turn in a parking lot.

Three point turn in a parking lot.

Easy to do.

Practice a couple of times.

Make sure that you signal every time you change directions with the vehicle, and when you're reversing, and going forward, and as well, when you're moving around the parking lot and whatnot.

I can't wear my mask because I can't talk to you and do what I need to talk to you, but you're going to need to wear a mask for your test.

So practice doing that.
